I started doing finance and accounts as soon as I left college in 1983 and worked for various SME businesses until 2001.  During this time I did pretty much everything that you would expect to do including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, VAT Returns, Bank Reconciliation, Credit Control, Journals and Adjustments

From 2001 until 2003 I worked in the Finance Department of NSK, a Corporate Company as Treasurer. 

I left NSK in 2003 and started Positive Bookkeeping Ltd as I wanted to help small businesses.  From 2003 to 2005 I worked from home using Sage as my accounts package and slowly grew the business.

I was approached at the end of 2005 to work for a Business Coaching organisation ActionCOACH as a General Manager for 4 days a week.  I kept a small bank of clients and during this time I became experienced myself in Coaching, Personal Development, Recruitment and Event organising.

I continued with ActionCOACH until 2012 when one of my clients who had been with me since 2008 asked me to become his Operations Director and work full time in his business which is teaching people how to invest in property by providing training and networking events

In 2016 I decided I wanted to specialise in bookkeeping for the property industry, and with the blessing of my client, I went back to Positive Bookkeeping Ltd full time (still retaining my client but only now doing bookkeeping for his personal property portfolio, developments and investments).

I now employ 5 people in our business having grown from one client to nearly hundred over the past 3 years by referrals from Accountancy Firms and my clients.  My team include 2 apprentices doing Level 3 of their AAT and a lady who has a degree in accountancy.

30+ years experience in technical / IT support and development & network management.

16 years experience as a business owner.

Operations Director of Positive Bookkeeping Ltd since 2003: A bookkeeping company specialising in bookkeeping for property investors, property developers and letting agents.

Managing Director of Positive Virtual Management since 2017: A company that provides remote management and support for clients using Arthur Online to manage their property portfolios.

My interests are business, music and sport.

Jayne Clarke
Senior Bookkeeper

I joined Positive Bookkeeping 3 years ago.

I am hardworking, conscientious and passionate, about all things to do with bookkeeping.

I specialise in using Arthur and Xero and have a good knowledge and understanding of the functionality and the benefits of using these systems.

My interests when not working are spending time with my family and taking my 6 month old Labrador puppy for walks.

Thirumagal (Thiru) Sritharan

I joined Positive Bookkeeping Ltd in 2017 November.

They have given me the opportunity to apply my theoretical accounting skills in a practical way.

I have been trained on Xero and Arthur Online and enjoy meeting and serving clients with small or large businesses.

I love helping our clients achieve their personal and business goals.

Zohaib (Zeb) Qayoum

Being someone who has enjoyed maths from a young age Positive Bookkeeping was a perfect match for me.

Working alongside completing my AAT qualification has given me a solid foundation in my accounting career.

Being the youngest member of the team doesn’t phase me as we’re all a family.

Outside of work my interests are food, sport and socialising.

Aiyub Khan Pathan

I joined Positive Bookkeeping upon completing my AAT Level 2 qualification and am currently working towards AAT Level 3.

Passionate and dedicated are only a couple of words that begin to describe me.

Currently I perform a wide range of tasks in Positive Bookkeeping including inputting invoices and receipts into Xero and completing bank reconciliations for our account managers. I am always happy to assist in any way I can.

I enjoy going to the gym, watching sports, and socialising with family and friends.
